BnB Panel — Frequently asked questions

Question 1

What is BnB Panel?

Accepted Answer

BnB Panel is a unified reporting and analytics hub for short-let rental hosts. It consolidates bookings, revenue, and expenses from Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor, agency platforms, your own website and direct bookings into one dashboard. Any other booking source (e.g. local listing sites) can also be added through the manual entry function - paste from a spreadsheet or type rows in directly.

Question 2

How do I get my data into BnB Panel?

Accepted Answer

You import CSV exports from Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com directly from the Import page. Bookings from Expedia, TripAdvisor, agency platforms, your own website, local listing sites and direct bookings are added through a spreadsheet-style manual grid (paste from Excel/Google Sheets or type rows). BnB Panel doesn't currently connect to the platforms directly; their APIs are generally limited to approved partners, and CSV exports keep the data first-hand.

Question 3

Which platforms are supported?

Accepted Answer

Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com are supported via direct CSV import. Expedia, TripAdvisor, agency platforms, your own website, local listing sites and any other source are added via the spreadsheet-style manual grid - paste from Excel/Google Sheets or type rows directly.

Question 4

Will re-importing a CSV duplicate my data?

Accepted Answer

No. Our diff-detection system uses composite keys to identify existing bookings, so re-importing only adds new rows or flags updates for review. Bookings you have marked as Excluded stay excluded across re-imports.

Question 5

How are cancelled bookings handled?

Accepted Answer

Cancelled and Excluded bookings are strictly omitted from all revenue, occupancy, and performance metrics so your numbers reflect actual earnings.

Question 6

Can I track expenses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Expenses use a two-tier category/subcategory taxonomy with payment tracking and auto-paid rules. Platform fees (Airbnb host fees, Booking.com commissions, VRBO service fees) are auto-extracted from your imports.

Question 7

How do I track Airbnb income and expenses together?

Accepted Answer

Import bookings from Airbnb (and any other platform you list on), then log costs in the spreadsheet-style grid. Income and expenses are matched to the same property - and, where relevant, to the same booking - so you get one combined view instead of two separate spreadsheets.

Question 8

Is there an Airbnb profit calculator or short term rental calculator built in?

Accepted Answer

Yes - BnB Panel acts as a live Airbnb profit calculator and short term rental calculator on your real data. It nets platform fees, cleaning, utilities and other logged expenses against booking income to show actual profit per stay and per property, rather than a forward-looking income estimator for properties you don't yet own.

Question 9

Can I produce a rental property income statement per listing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each property has its own ledger, so you can filter income and expenses by listing and export a per-property rental property income statement - useful for owner statements, year-end accounting, or comparing which listings actually pay.

Question 10

Can I paste data from Excel or Google Sheets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The manual import grid (for both bookings and expenses) accepts paste straight from any spreadsheet. Click the cell where you want the paste to start - the data lands at that anchor and extra rows are added automatically if needed.

Question 11

Are there keyboard shortcuts for fast data entry?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tab and Shift+Tab move between fields, Arrow keys jump cell-to-cell, Enter moves to the next row, and ⌘/Ctrl + Enter saves the import. A small Shortcuts chip above the grid shows the full list.

Question 12

Can I view multiple properties at once on the dashboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the property multi-select to pick any combination of properties that share the same currency. A summary chip above the charts shows how many properties are selected, and your selection is remembered on your next visit. Multi-property workspaces are available on Pro and Business plans.

Question 13

Why does the multi-select require the same currency?

Accepted Answer

To keep totals meaningful, BnB Panel doesn't mix currencies in a single combined view. If your portfolio uses multiple currencies, switch between currency groups using the property selector.

Question 14

What does each subscription tier include?

Accepted Answer

Starter is free for 1 property and 1 user. Pro ($19/mo) includes up to 25 properties, 3 team members, exports and custom branding. Business ($59/mo) includes unlimited properties, team members and dashboard history, plus exports and the same custom branding controls.

Question 15

Can I invite my team?

Accepted Answer

Yes - owners on Pro and Business tiers can invite team members to their workspace with role-based access. On the free Starter plan, workspaces are limited to 1 user.

Question 16

Can I customise the branding?

Accepted Answer

Pro and Business plans let you set your company name, logo and primary accent colour. The Starter plan uses default BnB Panel branding.

Question 17

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

All data is stored in a secure backend with row-level security so only you (and team members you invite) can access your records.
